Haleego ("we", "us", "our") provides ordering systems, POS solutions, equipment sales, recruitment listings, and related services for the restaurant industry. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information across the websites, pages, and online services we operate (the "Services").
The Services are intended for business users in the United States.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, you may provide categories of information such as:
- Contact information — such as name, phone number, messaging account, email
- Business information — such as business name, location, type of operation, and products or services of interest
- Transaction information — such as order details, delivery information, and related records
- Recruitment information — such as job listings, staffing needs, employment interests, and related contact details
- Communications — such as enquiries, support chat, and other correspondence
These fields are largely free-form. Please do not provide sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account credentials, or health information — our Services do not require it.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Device information — such as device type and configuration, operating system, browser, display and hardware characteristics, language and time zone settings, and identifiers derived from these
- Network information — such as IP address, network provider, and the general geographic area inferred from them
- Usage information — such as time of access, pages and content viewed, referring links, and interactions
- Log information — technical records generated when servicing requests
1.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information from service providers in connection with payments, security, or service delivery.
2. How We Use Information
- Providing and operating the Services — responding to enquiries, processing orders and transactions, publishing and displaying listings, and providing support
- Contacting you — communicating about your enquiry and related products and services (see Section 4 regarding calls and text messages)
- Improving the Services — understanding usage and optimising features, content, and presentation
- Security and abuse prevention — detecting, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, harassment, unauthorised access, and other harmful activity
- Legal compliance — meeting legal obligations, establishing or defending legal claims, and responding to legal process
Note on security and abuse prevention
To protect the Services and the people associated with them from abuse and harassment, we record and analyse device and network information associated with access, including for the purpose of determining whether activity originates from the same device where the network address changes.
Such processing is used solely for security and abuse-prevention purposes, and not for advertising, commercial profiling, or cross-site tracking.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
3.1 Service providers
We share information as necessary with third parties that support our operations, in categories including:
- Cloud computing and hosting
- Payment processing
- Messaging and communications
- Artificial intelligence and content generation
- Security and risk detection
- Analytics and measurement (where applicable)
We require service providers to process information only to provide services to us.
3.2 At your direction or with your consent
For example, when you post or respond to a listing in our recruitment section, the relevant contact details are shown to the corresponding party.
3.3 Legal and safety
We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where we believe in good faith that it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or address suspected unlawful activity, fraud, abuse, or harassment, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our users, or the public.
This includes providing access records and device information to law enforcement, courts, or relevant parties in civil or criminal proceedings.
3.4 Business changes
In a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or asset transfer, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
3.5 Where information is processed
We and our service providers may process and store information on servers located inside or outside the United States. Wherever information is processed, we handle it as described in this policy.
4. Calls, Text Messages, and Email
4.1 Your consent
By providing your phone number or messaging account and submitting an enquiry, you consent to receive calls, text messages, messaging-app messages, and emails from us responding to your enquiry and describing related products and services.
This is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
4.2 About text messages
- Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us
- Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages
- Reply HELP for assistance
4.3 Opting out
You may ask us to stop contacting you for commercial purposes at any time by:
- Replying STOP to a text message
- Using the unsubscribe link in an email, or replying to unsubscribe
- Contacting us directly (see Section 10)
We will process your request promptly. Even if you opt out of commercial messages, we may still contact you as necessary regarding transactions, orders, or security matters.
5. Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, depending on the category of information, the purpose, and applicable legal requirements.
Generally:
- Technical and log information is cleared on a regular cycle
- Business and transaction information is retained during the business relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards for recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal requirements
- You may request deletion of your information (see Section 7)
Exception: Where records relate to abuse, harassment, or other unlawful activity, or to ongoing or reasonably anticipated legal proceedings, we retain those records separately until the matter is resolved. Such records are not subject to the ordinary deletion cycle or to deletion requests.
6. Security
We use technical and organisational measures consistent with industry practice, including encryption in transit, access controls, credential separation, and regular backups.
However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
7.1 General
You may contact us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you, or to ask us to stop contacting you for commercial purposes. We will respond within a reasonable period and may need to verify your identity first.
7.2 State privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example California and other states with applicable privacy laws), you may have additional rights, including to:
- Know the categories and purposes of personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
Regarding "sale" and "sharing": we do not sell personal information, nor do we share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so no opt-out mechanism is required.
Security-related exception: Applicable law generally permits us to retain and use information to detect security incidents and protect against malicious, fraudulent, or unlawful activity. Accordingly, records relating to abuse or harassment may be retained notwithstanding a deletion request.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10.
7.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies to enable core functionality, remember your preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
7.4 Do Not Track
There is currently no industry standard for responding to "Do Not Track" signals, and we do not respond to them.
8. Children
The Services are directed at business users and not at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party sites or services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and encourage you to review their policies.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date at the top of this page, and where changes are material, provide additional notice through the Services or other appropriate means.
